FunkyKids was developed by eTonal Media, Inc., an operator of online retail stores whose websites have served hundreds of thousands of customers since 1999. eTonal Media, Inc. is based in New Jersey, and uses a combination of its own local storage facilities and tactical arrangements with wholesalers and manufacturers to ship your orders to you as quickly as possible.
Christopher Sung - CEO, eTonal Media, Inc.
Christopher Sung is the CEO of eTonal Media, Inc. whose sites have garnered attention from such publications as The New York Times, Guitar Player magazine, Acoustic Guitar magazine, and Bass Player magazine. Prior to founding eTonal in 1999, he spent stints at Yale's Center for Studies in Music Technology (CSMT), the Banff School of the Arts, MIT Lincoln Laboratory, the Berklee College of Music, Microsoft Research, Interval Research, and Organic.
Christopher holds a US patent in the field of music technology, and is on the adjunct faculty at NYU's Interactive Telecommunications Program where he has taught a graduate course in web development since 2003. When not playing the offhand gig in NYC, he can be found entertaining his wife and toddler daughter with a combination of Beatles and Thomas the Tank Engine tunes.
Jim Burger - CFO, eTonal Media, Inc.
Jim Burger has been playing blues and rock guitar for over 20 years. After getting an MBA and spending several years in the corporate world, he decided to do something more musical and found himself in the position of CFO of ActiveMusician.com and now FunkyKids.com. In addition to helping run the company over the last 10 years, he has advised numerous customers in matters of guitar, recording, lighting, audio and all things musical.
He spends most of his spare time trying to keep up with his daughters, but when he's not doing that he is usually strumming one of his acoustic guitars in his home studio. He also finds time to help run audio and lighting systems for his kids' school events, and sneaks in the occasional acoustic performance.
